Planning & Preparation
1a. Demonstrating Knowledge of Content and Pedagogy
Throughout my lesson plans and instructional materials/strategies, each choice was made based on the fundamentals of specific techniques, research, and studies.
1b. Demonstrating Knowledge of Students
Heading 1
Getting to know the students I am teaching as unique individuals and learners is a way to ensure that my teaching is relatable and effective. Below is a google form that I gave my students that asks questions that provides insight into who the student is and their background. To the right shows context of the class I was teaching, providing information on the community, IEPs, 504 plans, area of the school, etc.

1f. Designing Coherent Instruction
Designing instructional material that is effective for all learners in the classroom ensures me that my students are obtaining the content delivered. Including visuals, metaphors, grouping strategies, etc., allows for all students to learn, stay engaged, and have fun. To the right are lesson plans and instructional materials that consist of various methods and designs that invite all learning styles.
1f. Designing Student Assessment
Creating student assessments that are engaging and assessible to all students is crucial when assessing students growth. Furthermore, it is important that students reflect and identify where achievement has been achieved and where improvement lies. Below shows a rubric I used to assess students in a mini hip hop unit, as well as elementary student self- checklist and high school Jazz and Choreographic pre-assessments.
