For students to feel comfortable, invited, and eager to learn, I must provide an environment that establishes clear expectations and rules that show classroom management, while still highlighting student's individual voices. To ensure my students and myself create a desirable environment together, while still encouraging freedom and individuality within the classroom.
I created a video that highlighted online classroom rules in a way that is fun and relatable to my high school students, as well as a slide that outlines what is expected while students are collaborating in breakout rooms. Below shows a google PowerPoint where students would watch their peers and provide feedback through a "Glow & Grow" feedback outline. Through this format, students are celebrating their peer's strengthens while providing constructive criticism, establishing a culture for learning. Below are also memes created for my high school class that present classroom rules & expectations, followed by a classroom management plan for online learning
