Professional Responsibilities

To continue to grow in their craft, teachers must reflect on their teaching in order to monitor growth and areas of improvement. To the right shows a self-reflection after a mini unit that I created with a co-teacher.

4a. Reflecting on Teaching

As a teacher, keeping accurate records that monitor student growth is important in continuously creating lessons that are specific to foster student success. To the right shows a graph of students progress regarding a lesson on choreographic structures and artistic expression.

Being involved in organizations allows for constant growth as a teacher and communication between other educators in the field. Collaborating with other educators and sharing ideas allows for connections, inquiring new methods and designs for teaching. Being involved allows for constant enhancement of knowledge regarding your craft. Being involved and participating in organizations such as NDEO & Dance NJ allows for growth as a teacher and mentor for my students.
